- 1 pound ground turkey 93% fat
- 1/2 cup fresh basil chopped finely
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley chopped finely
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
- 2 tablespoons almond flour optional
- 2 tablespoons onion minced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- black pepper to taste
- red chili flakes to taste
- olive oil optional
In a bowl, add ground turkey, and the rest of the ingredients, except olive oil. Mix until the ingredients are evenly mixed.
Preheat an air fryer to 390º for 17 minutes.
Roll the meat into balls, about 2 tablespoons each. This will make 12 meatballs.
Add the meatballs into the air fryer at the 12 minute mark, and cook them until they are cooked through. Do not overcook - turkey dries out quickly!
We love these healthy turkey meatballs served simply with marinara sauce to dip. I usually make them as a snack or to put alongside a salad for a quick lunch.
You can also:
- Top pasta, rice or quinoa with meatballs and a jarred marinara sauce.
- Keep it low carb by topping zoodles or cauliflower rice with meatballs and a low carb sauce of your choice.
- Make these a fun party appetizer by serving them hot with a dipping sauce - marinara or even alfredo sauce would be fun.
