Apple Crisp

Enjoy this Gluten Free Apple Crisp year round! I use Honey Crisp apples to prep a low sugar apple filling, then topped it with an oatmeal and pecan crumble topping.

Apples Maple syrup Arrowroot Lemon juice Cinnamon Sea salt

WHAT YOU NEED:

Crisp Topping Oats gluten free Oat flour Pecans roughly Cinnamon Salt Maple syrup Butter.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Core and then thinly slice the apples. Peel the apples if you prefer them that way. Add them to an 8×8 baking dish.

ONE

Drizzle the apples with lemon juice and maple syrup, then sprinkle with arrowroot, cinnamon, and salt. Toss the apples to evenly coat them.

TWO

In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the oats, oat flour, pecans, cinnamon, and salt. Mix together to combine.

THREE

Add maple syrup and melted butter to the topping ingredients, and stir together until coated.

FOUR

Top the apples with the crisp topping. Cover the apple crisp with foil, and bake for 45 minutes.

FIVE

This healthy version of the classic dessert is perfect paired with vanilla ice cream or thick, creamy Greek yogurt.
