Air Fryer Peaches - Easy Peach Crisp

Enjoy peach crisp for one, or make dessert for a crowd in minutes! The peaches get soft and juicy in the air fryer. I elevated this simple idea with a gluten free oatmeal crisp topping.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 peaches large, freestone (will easily pull away from pit)
  • 2 tablespoons SunButter No Sugar Added
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch ginger
  • 3/4 cup gluten free rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons coconut optional (can also use nuts or flaxseeds)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the SunButter, maple syrup, coconut oil, cinnamon, ginger and sea salt. Mix together well.
  • Add in the oatmeal, and optional coconut, seeds, or nuts, and mix to combine. Set aside.
  • Cut washed peaches in half, and remove the pits.
  • Preheat air fryer to 350º F for 5 minutes.
  • Place peaches cut-side down in the air fryer basket, and cook for 7 minutes.
  • Flip peaches over, add 1 tablespoon of oatmeal topping to the centers, and return to cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Serve peaches hot with ice cream!

Notes

How to Store Leftover Peach Crisp

This recipe makes enough crisp topping for 4 servings (8 peach halves). If you'd like to make a smaller serving, I recommend making the full batch of crisp topping, and storing it in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
When ready to enjoy this healthy peach crisp, slice a peach, air fry it, and add in some crisp topping!
If you make too many air fryer peach crisps, store the leftovers in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Enjoy cold (with Greek yogurt!), or reheat in the air fryer at 350º F for 5-7 minutes.

Do the peaches need to be ripe?

Overly ripe peaches will become mushy in the air fryer. Unripe peaches won't have a great sweet flavor, since this recipe is very low in sugar.
Find peaches that are just starting to ripen, but haven't gotten too soft yet.

Other Fruits that work in an Air Fryer

Can I substitute peaches for another fruit? Nectarines or plums would work well in this recipe!
Or choose to make mini apple or pear crisps. These harder fruits would need extra time in the air fryer, so air fry cut side down until the fruit is softened, about 10-12 minutes, prior to adding the crisp filling.

Make Simple Air Fryer Grilled Peaches

Instead of the crisp topping, keep this super simple by brushing peaches with a combination of coconut oil, maple syrup (or honey), and cinnamon.
In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil (or butter!) with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Air fry peaches cut side down for 7 minutes. Flip them over, and brush each peach with the mixture. Continue to caramelize the peaches for 5-7 minutes, until browned around the edges.
