Variations and Tips

Berry Applesauce Crisp: Give this a summery spin by adding berries to the mix! Just mix in 1/2 cup of chopped strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries into the applesauce prior to topping it with the oatmeal mixture.
Make this Nut Free: No need to add the pecans to the topping! Substitute unsweetened shredded coconut for the nuts in this recipe.
Add a caramel sauce: If the caramel drizzle has your mouth watering (it should!), this Vegan Salted Caramel Sauce is easy to make and perfection over a variety of desserts.
Serve À la  mode: I topped these with my Creami Vanilla Protein Ice Cream. No sugar and 60 grams of protein in a pint! Another high protein option is a scoop of Greek yogurt. Keep it dairy free by using a scoop of coconut ice cream.
